"The house is really a characteristic beautiful building, and the outdoor kitchen is absolutely wonderful. The children had a great time playing down in the playground, while the parents could enjoy a coffee on the bench watching them. Beautiful surroundings, buying the freshest fish ever on the market in Olhao (and putting it on the outdoor kitchen barbecue), all the vegetables fresh and tasty and incredibly cheap! Feliciana & co. were really nice and thoughtful, everybody making us feel very welcome. And: the Fuseta beaches are great (nice bar on the island!)! By the way, I never knew the coffees in Portugal are so good, comparable to Italy (I specially loved the galao's)."

We only ventured out to see other places 3 times, as we couldn't drag ourselves away from Stork House. We had a look at the touristy places on the other side of Faro, just to see what we were missing out on; we all felt smug about our choice to stay at your house! Thank you for sharing your second home (it definitely felt like more than just a house) with us - it was a privilege to be there. We all commented that we used to think how silly it was that people would go back to the same place every year, but now we understand.'

"My wife and I much enjoyed our stay at Hoopoe House. It is a lovely building and we much liked the fact that we were not overlooked by others, yet the location was ideal to reach other places of interest easily. The pool was perfect. It is altogether a most attractive place. We do not consider the Algarve to be an expensive holiday and so it proved - so we never did any cooking but always ate out even though we did not need to - all the facilities were there.
It was particularly nice for us as we have a passing interest in birds - you have a pair of Little Owls round you and, of course, the Storks were there. At Tavira we saw a black-winged Stint - a treat for us and a Spoonbill at the edge of the tide below Hoopoe House. Your directions from Faro were perfect and we had no problems. Be sure that we shall tell our friends about Hoopoe House."
